WINNIPEG — A 52-year-old man is in hospital after he was shot during a home invasion in West Kildonan Wednesday morning.
Police were called to the 200 block of Newton Avenue around 4:35 a.m., for reports of a firearm incident.
When they arrived one man was shot and rushed to hospital in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable.
Police said the “unknown suspects” forced entry into the home, demanding money and making threat, while being armed with a gun,
One of the suspects shot the 52-year-old man, at which time the suspects took off.
No other details have been released at this time. Members of the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
