Commuters are faced with massive service disruptions Saturday evening as a medical emergency has shut down SkyTrain service in and out of downtown.
The Main Street SkyTrain Station closed shortly after 6 p.m. due to an emergency.
TransLink spokesperson Anne Drennan said no trains are entering downtown beyond the Commercial-Broadway Station.
By 8 p.m., the Expo Line began operating on a single track eastbound from Waterfront Station toward Commercial-Broadway, but was not stopping at Main Street-Science World.

Drennan estimated westbound trains would not be operating until at least 10 p.m.
The Expo and Millenium lines are operating between Stadium-Chinatown Station and Waterfront Station. Shuttle buses are being implemented between Commerical, Main Street and Stadium stations.
As of 8 p.m. there was no word on when the station would re-open. TransLink said passengers should expect minimum delays of 90 minutes to two hours.
The timing is particularly bad for commuters as a Toronto Raptors game began at Rogers Arena earlier in the evening and a BC Lions game is set for 7 p.m. at BC Place.
