The Toppers are gunning for a season sweep of the Thunder and their fourth straight win overall.

The provincial rivals last met on Sept. 10 at SMF Field in Saskatoon, with the Hilltops squeaking out a 20-18 win.

This time they’re squaring off on Regina’s home turf.

Brent Turkington, the Hilltops defensive back coach, said the team should be fired up for the game.

“We look forward to the challenge of going down and playing in Regina just like they look forward to coming to Saskatoon,” Turkington said.

“We circle these two games on the calendar every year because that’s who we want to play.”

After a week of rest the Hilltops feel they’re well-positioned for a strong finish.

“I feel like we still have momentum coming out of the bye,” said Hilltops quarterback Jared Andreychuk.

“It gave some guys who were a little banged up some time to rest and we’re feeling fresh going into Regina.”

A Saskatoon victory will all but clinch home field advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.
