Saskatoon RCMP charge 2 people with property theft crimes

A man and woman are facing property-related offences after numerous theft complaints in the Saskatoon RCMP rural jurisdiction as well as the city in recent weeks.

Between Aug. 24 and Sept. 21, police said they received 34 complaints regarding stolen all terrain vehicles, trailers and motor vehicles.

A joint investigation with Saskatoon Police Service resulted in two people being arrested on Sept. 20 at a local residence.

The following day, a search warrant was executed at the Saskatoon home where police said they seized numerous items.

Jimmy Pruden, 25, is facing three charges of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and motor vehicle theft.

Sarah Anthony, 22, is facing five charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, theft over $5,000 and motor vehicle theft.

Both made their first court appearances last week.
