Global studios in Calgary opened its doors to the public Saturday.
It’s part of ‘Doors Open YYC‘, a concept that allows people Calgarians free access to buildings in order to create more knowledge and appreciation of historic and culturally significant places around the city.
More than 100 people filed into the building in the city’s northeast to find out how our news comes together.
Many stood in front of the green screen and tried their hand at weather.
Several of the Global personalities were also on hand to chat with the people and answer all their TV questions, while camera operators showed how the live truck works.
Global News is just one of the 50 sites to welcome in the public to get an up close and personal look.
Corus radio, the Calgary Foodbank and the St. Louis Hotel also provided tours.
It’s the fifth annual Doors Open YYC and is organized by the Doors Open Calgary Association.
