Lindsay Lohan has made some disturbing claims about her now ex-fiancé Egor Tarabasov on Russian television’s Channel One.

The 30-year-old sat down and explained that she ended her engagement after her relationship took a toxic turn in the interview that was released on Wednesday.

“I went to bed and he broke into my house. He started strangling me,” she explained. “I feared that Egor may splash acid in my face. I jumped out to the balcony and shouted with all my force, ‘He’s trying to kill me, call the police!’ I am lucky to come to Moscow to speak.”

Lohan also revealed that she paid for her emerald engagement ring to spare her former fiancé’s embarrassment. That could explain why she’s still wearing the ring after the split.

“He does not have money. What could I do? We lived in my home. I paid for everything. His father paid for many things, but mainly I was paying. But it was a mistake. I should have said to him, ‘Do something, I can’t do everything alone,’ I’m a 30-year-old woman and I was supporting a guy who didn’t work,” Lohan claims.

Tarabasov is an entrepreneur who started his own real estate agency, Home House Estates. He’s also the son of 50-year-old millionaire, Dmitry Tarabasov, who has several businesses in Moscow.

Tarabasov, released a statement to E News in response on Wednesday, denying the claims.

“It has come to my attention that my former fiancée, Lindsay Lohan, is planning a new smear campaign against me in the Russian and international media,” he said. “My relationship with Lindsay came to an end in July 2016. In the weeks that followed, there were numerous attempts to discredit my name by inaccurately portraying the nature of our relationship, publishing distorted facts, and making false accusations.”

He continued, “I decided not to address those harmful and false statements at that time. As an international businessman, I aim to maintain a low profile and concentrate on developing my business. I also chose to keep my silence out of respect for Lindsay.”

He added: “Today, I would like to state that all accusations made, and about to be made, by Lindsay against me are not true. I refuse to be dragged into the media storm created in the aftermath of our breakup. I will not be making any more statements with regards to my former relationship with Lindsay, but I will use all possible legal means to protect my name and reputation.”

In July, Lohan shared a series of since-deleted social media posts that revealed her nearly year-long romance had taken a turn for the worse. She claimed Tarabasov was cheating on her and also hinted that she was pregnant. She shared a video on Snapchat of her saying, “My fiancé’s being really angry at me, but I’m drinking water to get him to come home. Honey, come home, please.”

She also shared video footage and a picture of Tarabasov partying at a club. “Wow thanks #fiance with Russian hooker,” she wrote, tagging fashion designer Dasha Pashevkina. Lohan suggested he had been unfaithful with the fashion designer.

In August, there was a video of the two fighting while vacationing in Greece for the actress’ 30th birthday. She told the Daily Mail Tarabasov was violent: “No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry,” she said, adding, “Egor drank too much and he went crazy.”

Lohan and Tarabasov started dating in 2015 and became engaged in April after dating for only a few months.
