Vandals have left their mark on a local ski resort that has seen its fair share of trouble in recent years.
Crystal Mountain Resort in West Kelowna closed in 2014 due to a chairlift incident that injured four people.
Every window in the abandoned lodge has been smashed and graffiti now covers the outside walls. A number of items were also stolen but the GM won’t say what was taken.
“There were things that were stolen that has made a difference, but whatever they vandalized, we do not plan on keeping around anyways,” said GM, Krinko Amerl.

Despite the condition of the resort Amerl said he’s planning to open by late next year.
He said he has big plans including half a dozen new lifts and a golf course with construction set to begin next spring.
The resort is still dealing with three lawsuits that were filed in 2016 stemming from that incident.
