Renewed calls from Winnipeg Police for help locating missing Christine Wood

WINNIPEG — Almost a month now since 21-year-old Christine Wood has gone missing and Winnipeg Police are continuing to plead with the public for help.

Christine Wood was last seen by her family on Friday August 19 in the downtown area of Winnipeg. But since her disappearance, investigators said there have been a number of potential sightings that have been reported to investigators.

She was possibly seen in the Osborne Village area, downtown near Portage Place, North End and St. James, east of Polo Park.

Wood was in Winnipeg with her parents from Oxford House First Nation for a family members medical appointment. On the night of August 19, she went out, but never returned.

Her family said this is completely out of character for her and they’re worried for her safety.

The 21-year-old is described as:

  • 5’6″
  • Possibly red dyed hair
  • Was last seen wearing a green top with a red striped Adidas jacket over top
  • Denim shorts
  • Carrying a white purse
