Investigators with the Halifax Regional Police are once again reaching out to the public to try and solve the homicide of Rickey Walker.
Walker was fatally shot in a wooded area behind John McNeil Elementary School in Dartmouth in the early morning hours of September 1.

Through their investigation so far, police have determined that Walker was seen around 11 a.m. in the area of Portland Street near Prince Street in Dartmouth on August 31. The last time Walker was seen alive he was getting off a Halifax Transit bus in the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Drive around 11 p.m. that same night.
Police say they are interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen the 48-year-old between 11 a.m., and 11 p.m., on August 31.

Walker is described as a white man, 6’1”, with a larger build, short grey hair, grey beard and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and possibly carrying a black cloth reusable grocery bag.
Police are also still looking for help identifying a person of interest in Walker’s homicide.
