COLLEGE PARK, Md. – A waitress who turned to social media to vent frustration over receiving a 75-cent tip from Pittsburgh Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams has reportedly been fired.
Jimmy Marcos, co-owner of Ledo Restaurant in Maryland, told TMZ Sports that the woman serving Williams and several other players on Sunday mishandled the situation and admitted that she was in the wrong.

The incident began after Williams left a small tip on his US $128.25 bill. Williams said the service was poor, he waited an hour and a half for his food, his order was wrong, and the server never offered him a refill on his drink.
Williams added that he ordered chicken and shrimp in his pasta, but it was put in his salad. When he received the corrected order, staff had removed the chicken and shrimp and placed it in the pasta, leaving a stray shrimp tail in the salad.

The server took to Facebook to complain and restaurant workers blasted Williams on social media.
“I had DeAngelo Williams come in and I waited on while tending bar. His check was $128.25. He left me $129 with no tip but .75 cents,” the server wrote on Facebook. “So there you go Stealers (sic) fans, your running back is cheap as s**t!!! Smh.”
The post has since been deleted.
But Williams, who was in town ahead of Monday night’s game against the Washington Redskins, defended his actions on Twitter.
Williams says he tried to leave exact change, but couldn’t.
