Picture Butte RCMP are investigating after a man robbed the Tickety-Boo convenience store in Shaughnessy Monday night.
According to Sgt. Tom Howell, commander of the Picture Butte RCMP detachment, a lone male wearing a disguise entered the store at around 8 p.m.
He was armed with a gun, but police can’t say whether it was real.

He demanded cash from the young female teller, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
A K-9 unit was called in to search the area, but was unsuccessful in tracking the suspect, whom police believe does not live in the area.

Residents reported seeing police armed with shotguns roaming the area. Howell said the police presence was to ensure officer safety as they performed a perimeter search.
While police say they are investigating tips, they are asking anyone with information to contact Picture Butte RCMP at (403) 732-4449.
The Hamlet of Shaughnessy is located approximately 25 kilometres north of Lethbridge.
