Frost advisory issued for Calgary, Edmonton, southern and central Alberta

A frost advisory was issued for the City of Calgary and surrounding communities in southern Alberta, including Lethbridge, Red Deer, Drumheller and Medicine Hat.

Several central Alberta communities, including Edmonton and the surrounding Capital Region, were also included in the advisory.

Environment Canada said frost could damage some crops in frost-prone areas as temperatures drop below the freezing mark in central and southern Alberta Monday night.

Those with gardens are advised to cover their plants.
