Fentanyl, cocaine seized in Saskatoon drug bust

Police have seized fentanyl and cocaine, and charged four people following a drug bust in Saskatoon.

The bust happened Thursday at two locations in the city – one in the 100-block of Avenue E South and the other in the 300-block of Herold Road.

In total, 5.6 grams of cocaine, 8.1 grams of marijuana, 165 fentaynl pills, hydromorphone beads, bear spray and over $6,900 in cash was seized.

Five people were originally arrested however one person was released from custody with no charges being laid.

A 44-year-old man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a dangerous weapon and possession of the proceeds of crime.

Two other men, 28 and 30, along with a 28-year-old woman, have also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

They were scheduled to appear Friday morning in Saskatoon provincial court.

The bust was carried out by members of the integrated drug enforcement street team and the guns and gang unit.
