Multiple street closures in Winnipeg this weekend

WINNIPEG — With so many events happening in the city this weekend, there’s a few street closures you’ll want to keep in mind while out on the roads.

ManyFest Street Closure

Broadway will be closed from Osborne to Edmonton Streets for ManyFest. Global News

Downtown’s biggest street festival, ManyFest, will take place on Broadway this weekend. The event attracts 70,000 people over three days and takes up Memorial Boulevard and Broadway from Osborne to Edmonton Streets.

The event has lots to do and see for free. There’s a kids zone, market, beer garden, two stages, 33 food trucks and more.

This street closure will be in effect the entire weekend from Friday through Sunday.

Sherbrook Street Festival

The Sherbrook Street Festival is taking place. Sherbrook Street will be closed from Westminster to Wolseley Avenues.

The Sherbrook Street Festival is also taking place this weekend.

Sherbrook Street from Wolseley to Westminster Avenues will be closed to all divers from Sept. 10 at 8 a.m. until Sept. 11 at 1 a.m.

Pedestrians can still use Sherbrook Street.

Ferry Road Water and Sewer Project

A part of Ferry Road will be closed for a water and sewer project this weekend.

Ferry Road between Silver and St. Matthews Avenues will be completed closed beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday for a water and sewer project.

The project is expected to be completed late next week, weather depending.

Pedestrians will be able to use the area, but drivers are asked to use an alternate route.

Sewer Repairs on Marion Street

The eastbound lane of Marion Street will be closed for sewer repairs.

Eastbound Marion Street between Panet and Dawson Roads will be closed from 6 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Monday for sewer repairs.

One lane of westbound traffic on Marion Street will remain open to drivers.

Pedestrian access will be available while construction is underway.
