Five Calgary eateries have been named on a list of the 50 Best Restaurants in Canada, published by Maclean’s Magazine.
Charcut Roast House, The River Café, Cassis Bistro, Ox & Angela and Model Milk all made the cut.

In addition, Calgary nabbed bragging rights as the Prairie city with the greatest number of restaurants listed.
Edmonton only had two eateries honoured, the same as Winnipeg, while only one restaurant in Regina made the list.
It was Toronto’s The Grove which nabbed the prestigious title of Restaurant of the Year, while Chef of the Year was awarded to Montreal’s Normand Laprise
The list was compiled by Maclean’s food columnist Jacob Richler.
