Edmonton police have released video of a suspect in an assault that happened on the south side last month.

On Aug. 5, police were called to the area of 116 St. and Saskatchewan Dr. after an alleged assault.

A woman was reportedly walking along Saskatchewan Drive when she was allegedly grabbed, choked unconscious and dragged into the bushes.

The attacker fled on foot after bystanders came in to help the woman.

The suspect is described as a 23-35 years old man, 5’7″ to 5’11” tall with short, black hair, a thin, black beard and an average stocky build.
