Saskatoon’s Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge has received a colourful makeover.

Jerry Rugg, also known as BirdO, has created an aerosol mural on the abutment wall by the South Saskatchewan River in River Landing.

The piece, titled “River Reflection,” is a surreal depiction of his childhood memories from along the riverfront, including his love of the white pelican.

The art installation is part of the city’s placemaker program, which saw eight installations go up around the city during 2016.

The installation has received a lot of positive attention, especially on social media.
