One man dead after two vehicle collision north of Regina

White Butte RCMP has confirmed a two-vehicle collision north of Regina has left one adult male dead. The crash happened on the Pasqua Street extension grid road, south of Zehner Road on Sunday at around 7 p.m.

According to police, the crash involved two pickup trucks. A 37-year-old man from Regina was confirmed dead on the scene. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist was on scene assisting with the investigation.

RCMP are reporting that alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in the collision and have charged 19-year-old Colby Nicholas Heid with one count of impaired driving causing death.

Heid will make his first court appearance on September 6.
