Firearm tossed from window of car evading Saskatoon police

Saskatoon police say a firearm was tossed out of a car Saturday and three people are now facing charges.

At around 9 a.m. CT on Aug. 27, officers spotted a vehicle that matched the description of one that had been driven erratically earlier.

A traffic stop was attempted but the driver would not pull over for police.

While the car travelled southbound on Avenue I South, it struck the curb near 16th Street West which disabled the vehicle.

Police say they recovered a firearm thrown out of the vehicle while it evaded them.

An 18-year-old woman and two 19-year-old women were arrested.
