A man is facing a number of charges after police seized unauthorized weapons at a home in Prince Albert, Sask.

Police, along with social services, initially went to the home in the 900-block of 18th Street West for an investigation.

While there, officers found prohibited firearms and ammunition.

A man believed to be in possession of the weapons then fled the residence.

Police dog Daxa was called in to help track down the man.

The 19-year-old man is facing numerous charges including careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon, possessing a firearm without a licence, possessing a loaded prohibited firearm, possessing a firearm while prohibited and resisting arrest.

He was scheduled to appear Wednesday morning in Prince Albert provincial court.
