The fight isn’t over yet for Criminal Minds actor Thomas Gibson. He’s reportedly lawyered up following his firing from the hit television show on Friday. The Dharma & Greg actor was dismissed after he allegedly kicked writer Virgil Williams following a disagreement they had while he was directing and starring in an episode a few weeks ago.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, entertainment lawyers Skip Miller and Sasha Frid are representing the 54-year-old. It’s not yet clear if Gibson plans to make any claims against CBS or ABC studios and – if he does – what the claims would be.

Gibson is set to meet with his lawyers early next week to work out details.

In the meantime, a former Criminal Minds star has indirectly addressed the situation on social media.

Shemar Moore, who played Derek Morgan, released a (now deleted) video on his Instagram page that was cryptic in nature but clearly about Gibson’s situation.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Lot of birdies chirping out there,” Moore said in the video. “The gossip is real. I hear it. I’ll just say this: I believe in Karma… Good things happen to good people, honest people, hard-working people, humble people.”

He continued: “Treat people how you expect them to treat you… But just know that you’re not better than anybody. We all have our own gifts, so unwrap them bad boys and show ’em off. But then appreciate other people’s gifts. Church is over.”

This isn’t the first time Moore has tangled with Gibson.

In 2014, Gibson’s ex-manager filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit alleging that both Moore and Mandy Patinkin – who played Jason Gideon in earlier seasons – “verbally attacked” Gibson and that he had to be talked out of physically attacking Moore, Vanity Fair reports.
