Police have identified the man who was shot and killed in Panorama Hills early Friday morning.

Twenty-seven-year-old Louie Angelo Mojica was found dead in the driver’s side of a white Dodge Charger on Panamount Way just after midnight. He had been shot multiple times in what police believe was a targeted attack.

“It’s scary, especially when it happens right across the street from you,” resident Terese Gibbens told Global News. “It makes it better that it wasn’t random, that they’re not shooting someone off the streets. I’m just shocked when you wake up and see police in your front yard.”

Insp. Don Colemen said Mojica was known to police, but didn’t offer any further details at a press conference Friday.

The vehicle Mojica was found in is believed to belong to his girlfriend; she is cooperating with police. Colemen said Mojica lived in Panorama but the location of the crime was not near his home.

Police do not believe this crime is related to any recent incidents in Panorama, however they will consider all possibilities.
