A man who tried to evade Saskatoon police was captured after a short foot chase.

It started when officers spotted a vehicle being driven erratically near the intersection of Avenue L and 19th Street.

The driver refused to stop for police and eventually lost control of the vehicle when it struck a curb near Avenue F and 17th Street.

He then fled on foot but was quickly captured by pursuing officers.

The 35-year-old man is facing charges of flight from police, possession of a stolen licence plate, driving while prohibited and driving an unregistered vehicle.
