One man is dead and another man is in custody following a shooting in the Biggar, Sask., area late Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened on a rural property in the RM of Glenside at around 5:30 p.m. CT.

According to Biggar RCMP, five people drove onto the private property and were confronted by the property owners.
Police then said a verbal exchange happened between the parties and eventually a gun was fired, striking a man who had arrived in the vehicle.
He was declared dead at the scene by emergency personnel.
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week to confirm his identity.
One man associated with the property was arrested by responding officers.

Three people from the vehicle, a man, a woman and a youth, were taken into custody as part of the investigation.
No charges have been laid at this time.
A fourth person from the vehicle is still being sought. The identity of the youth has not been released by police.
Mounties said the “complex investigation” is still in its early stages and more details will be released as those become available.
