The RCMP have located the body of a Quebec man who disappeared during a fishing outing on Halfway River in July.
Zacharie Blouin was last seen by his friends July 28 when he set out alone to fish in the river near Nakusp.
Divers were brought in to search Halfway River after some of the 19-year-old’s personal effects were located along the river bank.
Blouin’s body was located in the water Aug. 7.
The young man’s last posts on social media show him traveling through the national parks.
The B.C. Coroner Service has taken over the investigation as foul play is not suspected, according to RCMP.
