Part of Christophe-Colomb Avenue, a major north-south corridor in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough, is now closed.

Water and sidewalk work, as well as repaving on Christophe-Colomb Avenue between Louvain and Sauriol streets has left some residents furious.

Residents said they have long been used to going around detours, but the latest closure means some residents on streets like Port Royal Street are left stranded.

“Now that they just started closing off Christophe-Colomb, there’s going to be even more traffic,” said Jojo Cheung, a commuter.
