Police said a man was Tasered after he allegedly punched an officer during a domestic dispute call in Saskatoon.
It happened Monday at around 3:30 a.m. at a home in the 1100-block of Main Street.

According to a police report, a man became aggressive while being interviewed by an officer.

He then allegedly punched the officer in the face.
The officer backed away in an attempt to defuse the situation, but the man continued to advance towards the officer.
At that point, the officer fired the Taser and took the man into custody.

He was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
The 27-year-old man is scheduled to appear Monday afternoon in Saskatoon provincial court on a charge of assaulting a peace officer.
The use of the Taser will be reviewed in accordance with Saskatoon Police Service policy.
