Man wearing pink, sequined fedora robs Saskatoon employee at knifepoint

Saskatoon police are asking the public for any information that could help catch a uniquely-dressed man who fled an armed robbery on Friday.

At around 10:40 p.m. CT, officers were called to a business in the 2300-block of Preston Avenue South where a man threatened a staff member with a knife.

He was described as wearing a snowmobile-like suit, a pointy balaclava covering his face, a red bandanna around his neck and a pink, sequined fedora.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Investigators determined the man ran to a light-coloured, four-door car, then drove away eastward on Louise Street.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set man and around six feet tall.
