Highway 8, near Maitland Bridge, N.S. is closed again Monday morning as crews battle two wildfires in the area.
Seven water bombers are on hand to help fire fighters tackle a fire in Maitland Bridge and a second one at nearby Seven Mile Lake in Annapolis County, according to an update from the province late Monday morning.
Spokesperson Brian Taylor said the fire at Seven Mile Lake has grown, and that “conditions continue to be challenging.”
Taylor also said the two fires have been contained.
At last update 90 hectares of forest was burning near the lake.
