RCMP are sending out a warning to the public to be careful when meeting up with strangers after two young men were pepper sprayed when they tried to make a sale off Craigslist last night.
According to police, the pair was pepper sprayed in the parking lot of Lougheed Town Centre Mall just after 9 p.m. last night.

The two young men were trying to sell a smartphone when two suspects grabbed it from their hands and ran off towards the Lougheed SkyTrain Station.

Firefighters helped the men wash the pepper spray out of their eyes. No one was injured in the incident.
Police say this is a reminder to those people selling items to make the meetings during the daytime in a public place.
