Authorities said the man exchanged words with the driver who believed the rider had verbally abused him a month before.

The coffee tossing incident occurred after the accused was asked to leave the bus but refused.

The man was arrested on Tuesday and has been identified as Pavel Osorio.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
