RCMP are looking to the public for help identifying a man who approached two children near an Okotoks playground on Friday.
Officers were called to the area of Cimarron Close for complaints of a suspicious man.
Investigators said the man, believed to be in his 40s, asked the children what game they were playing and then “appeared to have been frightened away” after an adult approached the park with a dog.
The man left the area in an older-model red truck with black, chipping paint on the bottom of the body.
RCMP describe the man as being approximately 5’10” to 5’11” tall with a heavy build, a brown/grey beard and medium-length black hair with grey patches.
Okotoks RCMP are hoping to speak with the man, and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information to call 403-995-6400 or contact Crime Stoppers.
