The coroners service said the trio entered the water at a well-known diving spot near Tyee Crescent and Blueback Road in Nanoose.

Officials said “something went wrong” during the dive and Bishop was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s family has been notified. His death is now being investigated by both the BC Coroners Service and the RCMP.
