Damage pegged at $30K in Saskatoon garage fire

Damage is estimated at $30,000 following a garage fire in Saskatoon.

Firefighters were called to 1721 Ave. B N. just after 11:50 a.m. CT on Sunday from a tenant who reported smoke coming from their detached garage.

Crews arrived to find charring above the overhead door.

They entered the structure to find heavy black smoke.

A rapid offensive attack was started and the fire was brought under control in 10 minutes.

No injuries were reported.

A Saskatoon Fire Department investigator determined the cause to be accidental.
