63-year-old man dies in collision west of Edmonton

One person was killed in a collision west of Edmonton Tuesday evening.

RCMP said at about 7:10 p.m., a Ford F350 collided with a Chevrolet Uplander van on Highway 16 near Range Road 24, which is about 54 kilometres west of Edmonton.

The 63-year-old driver of the van died at the scene. A passenger of the vehicle was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The driver of the Ford F350, along with two passengers who are four and seven years old suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
