EDMONTON — One person died Wednesday morning in a collision south east of Edmonton.
Witnesses told police the driver of a Pontiac Grand Am car was travelling north on Highway 21 when it went into the north bound ditch. The vehicle then came out of the ditch and crossed the center line to the southbound lane, where it collided with a Dodge truck.

The driver of the Grand Am was killed in the crash. Police said the driver of the pick-up truck was assessed by EMS at the scene.
Highway 21 between Highway 625 and Airport Rd. was closed for several hours.
Leduc RCMP are investigating the cause of the fatal crash. The name of the deceased driver has not been released.
