Winnipeg Goldeyes outfielder Reggie Abercrombie has been honoured by the American Association following a historic week.
Abercrombie was chosen as the league’s batter of the week after breaking the American Association’s all-time record of career home runs.

The 36-year-old hit a pair of home runs against the Sioux City Explorers last Thursday to surpass the previous mark of 87. He knocked away another two home runs over the weekend to bring his career total to 90. Abercrombie also had a .542 batting average, 11 runs and nine RBI in six games last week.
The former Major Leaguer is batting .279 with 11 home runs and 31 RBI this season.
