A 12-year-old boy was injured in an early-morning shooting in the North Central neighbourhood Thursday.
At 3:18 a.m., Regina police were called to the 1200 block of Garnet Street for a report of gun shots and yelling in the area.
Upon arrival, police found a 12-year-old boy with gunshot wounds. The boy was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.
According to police, officers received information that three men had fled the scene, one using a bike and two on foot.
A 14-year-old suspect was caught by a canine team. He was treated in hospital for a dog bite and released into police custody.
A 12-year-old suspect was arrested without incident.
Both suspects have been released. Police say they believe they were present during the incident but are continuing to investigate to determine their involvement.
The 14-year-old was found to be in breach of court-ordered conditions. He has been charged in connection with the breaches and for giving a false name to police. He will appear in court on Sept. 6.
Police are still searching for a third possible suspect. Officers have not located a gun in the area at this time.

Youth Gang Concerns
According to some people that live on the 1200 block of Garnet Street youth getting involved in gangs is a concerning issue.
“It’s becoming more and more dangerous in this hood,” one resident said.
The people Global News spoke with all said that gang issues in the area hadn’t been as big a concern for a while, but problems began to arise again recently.
“The neighbourhood’s been having a lot of problems in the last three or four weeks, just so many noise issues and problems like that,” the neighbour said.
