LAUSANNE, Switzerland – The IOC has stripped a Ukrainian weightlifter of her bronze medal from the 2012 London Olympics after she tested positive in a reanalysis of her doping samples.

The IOC says Yuliya Kalina, who finished third in the 58-kilogram division, was among those targeted in retesting of stored samples from the London Games and 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The IOC, which announced the ruling Wednesday, says she tested positive for the steroid turinabol.

A three-man disciplinary panel disqualified Kalina retroactively from the 2012 Olympics and stripped her of the medal.

The IOC asked the international weightlifting federation to revise the results and consider any further sanctions.
