Watch Harry Potter performed live by Vancouver Symphony Orchestra

Warner Bros.

Harry Potter fans in Vancouver can relive the magic of The Philosopher’s Stone with the accompaniment of a live symphony orchestra in an upcoming performance series.

“The Harry Potter film series is one of those once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomena that continues to delight millions of fans around the world,” says the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra on its website.

The orchestra will play every note of the John Williams-composed score to The Philosopher’s Stone while the film plays in high-definition on the big screen.

Even better news? This is just the first of a concert series where the VSO will play along to all eight Harry Potter films.

VSO will perform the first film for three nights this month; July 21, 22, and 23. Tickets range from $29 to $73.
