Identity of man found dead in Myra Canyon released

The B.C. Coroners Service is asking for the public's help in identifying a man whose remains were discovered in West Vancouver two decades ago.

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who was found dead in the Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park on June 26, 2016.

He has been identified Mark Warren Edelhoff, aged 56, of Kelowna.

It was about 7 p.m. when hikers discovered the body at the base on one of the Canyon Trestles.

The body was recovered by Central Okanagan Search and Rescue the next morning.

The B.C. Coroners Service continues to investigate this death to determine the cause, but foul play has been ruled out.
