Eric Fehr is heading home for a visit and he’s bringing a new friend.

The Winkler-born Fehr will host a Stanley Cup celebration in his hometown on Wednesday, July 20. He won his first NHL championship last month when the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the San Jose Sharks in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Fehr, along with the Stanley Cup, will meet with fans from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southland Mall.

The celebration will mark the third time in ten years Winkler has welcomed the trophy. Dustin Penner brought the Stanley Cup to the city twice after winning it in 2007 and 2012.
