A 31 year-old man from Millbrook, N.S. is charged with robbery and breaching a court order following an early morning incident at a Halifax gas station.
Police say they responded to the Irving gas station on Robie Street around 5 a.m. Sunday following a report of a robbery.
Store staff say two men robbed them at knife point, according to an emailed media report from Staff Sgt. Greg Mason. Cash, cigarettes, and other merchandise was allegedly stolen. Police wouldn’t confirm how much money the suspects took.
Halifax Regional Police are looking for a second suspect in the case. The man is described as white, in his early 20s, 5’5″ tall, and with a scruffy unshaven face and a buzz cut. He was wearing a light coloured sweat shirt with horizontal blue stripes and dark blue pants.
Two other people were arrested earlier this morning in connection to the incident, both were released without charge.
The 31 year-old man remains in custody and will appear in Halifax court on Monday to answer to the charges.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact a local police detachment or Crime Stoppers.
