22-year-old charged with impaired driving that killed 2 pedestrians in Thompson

A 22-year-old woman is facing various dangerous driving offences, including impaired driving, in a crash that killed two men in Thompson, Man. earlier this week.

On July 5, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving pedestrians in the area.

RCMP said the pair, along with other friends, were walking along Thompson Drive when a vehicle hit them and a hydro pole, before stopping.

A 17-year-old was found dead at the scene and the 18-year-old was found seriously hurt in a ditch. The second victim later died of his injuries.

Chelsea Melody Flett, from Thompson, has been charged with numerous offences, including impaired driving causing death, criminal negligence causing death and a break of probation.
