WINNIPEG — Winnipeggers can hop on a bus and take a ride along the river this weekend.
The River Spirit Water Bus is launching for the season on Saturday and running along the Red and Assiniboine Rivers.
“It’s time to skip the traffic jams and enjoy the sights while aboard the River Spirit Water Bus,” said Paul Jordan, CEO of The Forks North Portage Partnership.

“We’re excited the water levels have cooperated and we’re able to offer this service again. It’s a great way to bridge communities while showing a different perspective of Winnipeg.”
Starting Saturday, the water bus runs Monday to Thursday from noon to 9 p.m., and Friday to Sunday from noon until 11 p.m.

You do not need to make a reservation and the service runs every 15 minutes along the Red and Assiniboine rivers.
Docks include:
- The Forks.
- Manitoba Legislative Building.
- Hugo.
- Norwood Bridge.
- The Exchange District at the end of McDermot Ave.
Rates for travel are $3.50 one way or $20 for an unlimited day pass. Children three and under are free.
