Two more men charged in 2015 Banff Trail Motel death

Calgary police have laid more charges in connection to the death of a man in a northwest motel last year.

Officers found the body of Christian Jovanovic, 41, inside a room in the Banff Trail Motel at around noon on Sept. 14, 2015.

On Friday, police announced 33-year-old Lee Sheldon Kelner and 43-year-old Jason Edward Harwood, both of Calgary, had been charged with one count each of second-degree murder.

Police had previously charged a third man, 35-year-old Martin Allan Rangers of Calgary, with one count of second-degree murder.

Investigators have not released Jovanovic’s cause of death.
