Surveillance video shows what appears to be a man trying to grab a four-year-old girl from an electronics store in Victorville, Calif.
According to CBS News Los Angeles, the girl was in the store with her mother and younger sibling on July 1.
The child was playing with the store’s candy machine near the door when a man grabbed her by the arm and yanked her out of the store.
The mother dashed out of the store to rescue her daughter.

The girl, however, was able to escape her captor and get back to her mother safely.

“She was crying. She wasn’t screaming. She was really terrified,” Craig Battles, a barber working next door, told CBS News. “We all ran around there to see what was going on.”
According to witnesses, the suspect sat down in the middle of a road amid traffic and laughed.
He tried to run off again but onlookers held him until police arrived.
