22 bus stops will be closed for the next two days in Regina

If you plan on using Queen City transit, beware 22 bus stops will be closed starting today until Thursday.

The closures are due to roadway and concrete construction happening on Dewdney Avenue.

Here is the complete list of the bus routes that will be affected:

  • Route 7 Glencairn will detour from Dewdney Avenue to Oxford Street, southbound on Oxford Street and back on route. Bus stops closed are 513 and 514 on 9th Avenue and Dewdney Avenue.
  • Route 7 Whitmore will detour from Dewdney Avenue to Fleet Street, south on Fleet Street to Cambridge Avenue, west on Cambridge Avenue to Oxford Street, north on Oxford Street to Dewdney Avenue and back on route. Bus stops closed are 552, 553, 554, 555, 556, 557 and 558 on Dewdney Avenue, Canon Street and Cavendish Street.
  • Route 9 Parkridge will detour from Dewdney Avenue to Oxford Street, southbound on Oxford Street to Cambridge Avenue, east on Cambridge Avenue to Fleet Street, north on Fleet Street to Dewdney Avenue and east on Dewdney Avenue and back on route. Bus stops closed are 513, 710, 711, 712, 713, 714, 715, 716, 717 and 718 on Dewdney Avenue, Canon Street and Cavendish Street.
  • Route 9 Albert Park will detour from Oxford Street to Dewdney Avenue and back on route. Bus stops closed are 558, 751 and 752 on Dewdney Avenue, 9th Avenue and Cavendish Street.

Also, drivers are asked to consider a different route on Wednesday, as city crews will be repairing the sewer system on Albert Street between 4th Avenue and 3rd Avenue.

The southbound lanes on Albert Street will be closed and two-way traffic will be maintained in the northbound lanes for the day while repairs are being made.
