One man was killed in a two-car crash east of Calgary on Monday.
It happened in the intersection of Highway 560 (Glenmore Trail) and Range Road 283, about 20 kilometers east of the city, at around 6 a.m.
RCMP said it appeared a northbound minivan was hit by a westbound pickup truck after failing to stop at a stop sign.
The man driving the pickup truck was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the minivan, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to the Foothills Medical Centre in serious but stable condition.
The collision caused the temporary closure of Highway 560 at Range Road 283.
