Britain opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn is facing upheaval within his Labour Party after more than 30 MPs quit his inner circle over the past two days.
Corbyn is facing calls for him to step down as more than 30 MPs have resigned for what many are accusing him of running a lukewarm campaign in support of remaining in the EU.
They also fear Corbyn, viewed as on the extreme left wing of the party, cannot win a general election. The next election is expected sometime in 2020, but could come well before that. Whoever replaces David Cameron as prime minister may call an early election to solidify a mandate before negotiating Britain’s EU exit.

“UK Labour needs new leadership to take the country forward. Today I have resigned from the Shadow Cabinet,” Ian Murray tweeted.
“I’ve just spoken to Jeremy Corbyn to tell him that with regret I’m resigning from the Shadow Cabinet,” Lucy Powell tweeted.
Late Sunday, Corbyn said he will not resign, and has appointed lawmakers loyal to him to fill the vacated posts. He insists he will run in any new leadership contest, and said he has the support of the party’s grassroots.
